Qualifications

My qualifications for the position of City of Ennis Mayor include my years of experience in municipal government, where I have demonstrated fiscal responsibility as a steward of taxpayer dollars. Additionally, I've served at the regional level on the North Central Texas Council of Governments Board of Executive Directors, representing member cities with populations under 50,000, elected by city and county member governments across the 16 county member region.
My decade of experience as a firefighter, including responding to large scale emergencies during incidents such as the West Fertilizer Plant Explosion and the 2013 Ennis Tornado Disaster, has equipped me with valuable skills. I've taken numerous National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses, understanding the crucial role of the Emergency Management Director, a responsibility of the Mayor.
As a Civil Engineer I manage multimillion-dollar project budgets for extensive highway projects, I prioritize accountability and uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring that every penny is judiciously allocated.
